Yes! If you would just like to repeat a session or two from earlier on in your Headspace Journey this can be done directly from your timeline. Any session that sits, already completed, on your timeline can be repeated.
If you are considering going over most or the whole of a previous pack we would suggest heading to the Series library and loading a fresh copy of the pack back onto your timeline!
While the choice of where to take your journey is always yours, the Headspace platform and app also encourage an additional system of learning known as ‘Learn, Practice, Master’, whereby each pack is repeated at least three times over the course of your journey, for the following reason:
Learn: When we learn a new skill we generally require greater cognitive function, as we need to think about what’s involved. While essential, this can interfere with the experience itself.
Practice: Once learnt, the only way of developing and refining a new skill is through repetition. Through regular practice, cognitive function decreases and experience takes over.
Master: Having practiced the technique, we need to master it. By this stage we are confident in our ability, so no longer engage cognition and instead are simply present for the experience.
The Headspace content is therefore designed in a way for this to be done, so going back and repeating packs is all part of the Journey and experience of getting the most from your meditation.
