The techniques in the app are rooted in both the Burmese and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, remaining true to the lineage that first inspired Headspace.
Currently, we use eight core techniques. Some of the technique names have been changed from the original translation, to help make them more accessible. They are labeled as follows:
- Resting Awareness
- Focused Attention
- Loving Kindness
- Body Scan
- Skillful Compassion
They have all been adapted and contextualized to help guide you through the different themes in the app. Animations (found within the app) have also been made for each technique, to help provide additional clarity.
