Headspace + Ginger: One Mission, One Future
In 2021, Headspace and Ginger merged to bring together world-class expertise in mindfulness, mental health, and well-being. United by a shared mission—to improve the health and happiness of the world—we’re now working together as one company.
As part of this evolution, we’ve officially renamed Ginger to Headspace Care. This change is grounded in extensive research and member feedback, and reflects our commitment to offering a more integrated experience.
What does this mean for you?
Depending on your plan, you may receive care through either the Headspace app or the Headspace Care app.
We're actively working to merge all services into a single, streamlined app experience. In the near future, members will be able to access meditation, coaching, therapy, and psychiatry—all in one place.
If you’re unsure which app to use or what your plan includes, we recommend checking with your employer, organization, or health plan.

Will I need to create a new account?
No. You can continue using your existing Headspace Care (formerly Ginger) account to log into the Headspace Care app.
Will Headspace Care still be available in multiple languages?
Yes. Headspace Care is available in English and Spanish.
Do I now get access to both Headspace Care and Headspace?
Headspace (mindfulness and meditation) and Headspace Care (coaching and clinical support) are currently two separate apps.
